When was instant photography invented?
The first instant camera was created by Samuel Shlafrock in 1923. However, because it was not commercially successful, Edwin Herbert Land is often credited with being the inventor of instant photography with his camera, the Polaroid Model 95.

This camera was the first commercially successful instant camera and is known to the world as the first Polaroid camera. The Model 95 created a sepia photo that required the back to be peeled in exactly 60 seconds but later models had a true black and white photo and eventually color.
